Well, the exhaust of my Fiat pretty much exits right out of the combo cat and muffler can. :D

By cat do you mean muffler, because what's pictured is not a cat ? Many vehicles run the muffler all the way out at the back end. The cat is never that far from the engine, they require high heat to function properly.
